Baseball Game Preview: Hermleigh Cardinals vs. Roby Lions

The Hermleigh Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Roby Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Hermleigh put up the most runs they have all season on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 32-3 margin over Rotan. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Roby, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They put the hurt on Rotan with a sharp 20-6 win on Friday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Yellowhammers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Hermleigh pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.7 runs over those games. As for Roby, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-5.

Hermleigh took their victory against Roby in their previous meeting last Friday by a conclusive 15-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
