Smithson Valley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Jay Mustangs with a sharp 6-1 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Smithson Valley, who have now won 13 games by three goals or more so far this season.

Smithson Valley's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those seven matchups. As for Jay, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-4-1.

Looking ahead, Smithson Valley will face off against Harlingen South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harlingen South will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Smithson Valley surely won't give up without a fight. Jay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
