Softball Recap: Smithtown West Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Smithtown West can now relate to. They fell just short of the East Islip Redmen by a score of 2-0 on Monday. The shutout was out of character for Smithtown West seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

Smithtown West's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for East Islip, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Smithtown West nor East Islip have any future games scheduled.
