After a string of 21 wins dating back to last season, St. Francis's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 74-64 to the Conway Wampus Cats. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (56), the Knights still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, St. Francis still got an impressive performance from Ameila Basit, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 19 rebounds. Desi Taylor was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven assists.

Even though they lost, St. Francis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Francis fell to 12-1. As for Conway, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

St. Francis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-51 victory against Pearland on the 28th. As for Conway, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-40 win against Boswell on the 28th.
