Basketball Recap: Strawberry Crest Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jayson Lewis and Trey Jones + How To Watch

Strawberry Crest lost against Lennard back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Chargers came up short against the Longhorns, falling 62-42. The game marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Strawberry Crest's loss came despite strong showings from Trey Jones and Jayson Lewis. Jones went 5-for-7 on his way to 13 points, while Lewis posted 11 points. Thanks to that strong game, Jones now owns an excellent 48.2% shooting accuracy. Abass Altameemi also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first board of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Strawberry Crest fell to 4-1. As for Lennard, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Strawberry Crest will host Armwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Lennard, they will be playing at home against East Bay at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
