Softball Recap: Springbrook Comes Up Short

Springbrook extended their losing streak to six on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-7. They came up short against the Whitman Vikings, falling 21-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-4 on Thursday.

As for Whitman, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7. Considering they have won four matchups by more than 11 runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

For Whitman's part, they got a massive performance out of Sienna Rancilio, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That triple was Rancilio's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Quinn Barnowski, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Springbrook has already played their next game, a 14-0 loss against Sherwood on the 11th. As for Whitman, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-1 defeat against Wootton on the 11th.
