Softball Recap: Airport Wins High-Profile Game Against Allen Park

Airport faced Allen Park in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Jets had just enough and edged out the Jaguars 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Jets: when they faced off against the Jaguars last Sunday, they had to take a 11-2 defeat.

Olivia Tilley was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Brenna Baker was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Airport is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. As for Allen Park, with the loss, they broke their 13-game winning streak and moved their record to 31-7.

Looking ahead, Airport will head out on the road to challenge Huron at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Allen Park, they will face off against Crestwood at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
