Basketball Game Preview: Nottoway Cougars vs. Randolph-Henry Statesmen

Having just played yesterday, the Nottoway Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Randolph-Henry Statesmen at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Randolph-Henry took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Nottoway, who comes in off a win.

Nottoway is coming into the matchup on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They came out on top against Amelia County by a score of 60-49 on Tuesday. The contest marked the Cougars' most dominant win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Randolph-Henry was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-57 heartbreaker at the hands of Buckingham. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Statesmen have suffered since February 17, 2024.

Randolph-Henry's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Nottoway, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-6.

Nottoway didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Randolph-Henry in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 47-41 win.
