After a string of five wins, Carbon Hill's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cordova Blue Devils. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Devils earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Carbon Hill was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 21 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21.

Cordova's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Vance, who had 18 digs and four aces. Those 18 digs gave Vance a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lexee King, who had four digs and three aces.

Carbon Hill's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Cordova, they pushed their record up to 24-15 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Carbon Hill has already played their next contest (against Dora), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Cordova, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Curry on the 4th.
