Recap: Hershey Panthers vs. Perkins County Plainsmen
The Hershey Panthers had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They managed a 60-54 victory over Perkins County. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hershey also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Hershey got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aubry Hall out in front who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Kenna Bringewatt was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals.
Several Plainsmen players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Katie Cook, who scored 18 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Fisher, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Hershey's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Perkins County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Hershey will look to defend their home court on Friday against Gothenburg at 6:00 p.m. As for Perkins County, they will head out on the road to face off against Bridgeport on Friday.
