It was fun while it lasted, but Carroll's undefeated season came to an end after seven games on Friday. They fell just short of the Tipton Blue Devils by a score of 49-46. The loss put an end to the Cougars' undefeated start to the season.

It was another big night for Grady Carpenter, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 32 points and three steals for Tipton. The match was Carpenter's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Quigley, who posted ten points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Carroll fell to 7-1. As for Tipton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carroll will head out to take on Delphi Community at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tipton, they will challenge Maconaquah at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
