Baseball Recap: Auburn Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Auburn barely beat Bryant the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Auburn Tigers never let the Bryant Hurricanes get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Hurricanes: they've now won six in a row.

Will Whatley made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other pitching news, Ryan Farr looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Angelo Santiago, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Weston Luther, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Auburn pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.5 runs. As for Bryant, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
