Basketball Game Preview: Bay Rockets vs. North Olmsted Eagles

The Bay Rockets will head out on the road to challenge the North Olmsted Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bay will be strutting in after a win while North Olmsted will be coming in after a defeat.

Bay is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They secured a 74-70 W over Buckeye on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Rockets' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 525th, while the Bucks are ranked 222nd).

Meanwhile, North Olmsted was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. The matchup between the Eagles and Valley Forge didn't end well, with the Eagles falling 57-42. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Patriots since Friday.

North Olmsted's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Bay, they moved to 6-8 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Bay beat North Olmsted 52-39 in their previous matchup back in December of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
