Armstrong is 7-0 against Chrisman since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Armstrong Trojans will face off against the Chrisman Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Monday, Armstrong came up short against Hoopeston and fell 48-41. The Trojans have struggled against the Cornjerkers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Chrisman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Westville, falling 46-25.

Armstrong will need focus on slowing down Taylor Jones, one of several Chrisman players who made an impact when they last played. She posted seven points along with nine boards and four steals. Jones has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Adaleyn Miller was another key player, putting up seven points and six boards.

Chrisman's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Armstrong, their loss dropped their record down to 10-17.

Armstrong didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Chrisman when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 30-25 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Armstrong since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
