Basketball Game Preview: Northwest Christian School Crusaders vs. Pullman Greyhounds

Northwest Christian School is 0-3 against Pullman since December of 2014 but things could change on Saturday. The two teams will round out the year against one another at at 3:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Thursday, Northwest Christian School ended up a good deal behind Mead and lost 72-56.

Despite the defeat, Northwest Christian School got top-tier performance from Avi West, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 22 points. West's evening made it 17 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Pope, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Pullman, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top against Cheney by a score of 60-52 on Thursday. Given the Greyhounds' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Blackhawks are ranked 246th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pullman has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Northwest Christian School, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Northwest Christian School might still be hurting after the 75-49 defeat they got from Pullman in their previous matchup back in December of 2021. Can Northwest Christian School avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
