Baseball Recap: Putnam City Takes a Loss

Putnam City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to the Southmoore SaberCats. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 8-0 to the SaberCats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Putnam City's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Southmoore, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Putnam City didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-6 defeat against Putnam City West on the 12th. As for Southmoore, they will be playing at home against Sapulpa at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for the SaberCats: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Chieftains have snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
