Softball Recap: Bellingham Blackhawks vs. Ashland Clockers        
        
		
            
 Bellingham scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Friday. They were the clear victor by  a  17-5 margin over the Ashland Clockers. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Bellingham considering their one-run performance the  matchup before.
  Trista Corshia made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching five innings while giving up just one earned  (and four unearned) runs off   three  hits. Corshia was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Lilly Proler and  Julia Simon did most of the damage at the plate:  Proler  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3, while  Simon  went 1-for-2 with two  runs, a  triple,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Cassidy Leger, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Bellingham's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Ashland, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bellingham will take on Ursuline Academy at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. As for Ashland, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Dover-Sherborn at 4:00  p.m. Dover-Sherborn is coming into the  contest with four straight  defeats on the road,  meaning Ashland will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  win.
