Football Recap: East Ridge Comes Up Short

After soaring to 34 points the game before, East Ridge was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were beaten by the Belfry Pirates 56-7. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

East Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Belfry, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Ridge will square off against Pike County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Belfry, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Betsy Layne at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
