Softball Game Preview: Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers vs. Lincolnwood Lancers

Greenfield/Northwestern hasn't had much luck against Lincolnwood recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will welcome the Lancers at 4:30 p.m. Greenfield/Northwestern will be strutting in after a win while Lincolnwood will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Greenfield/Northwestern needed a bit of extra time to put away Griggsville-Perry. They walked away with a 15-10 victory over the Tornadoes. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Tornadoes: they've now won four in a row.

Jillian McAdams was a standout: she fired off three triples, three RBI, and two runs while going 4-for-6. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Annabeth Thornton, who went 4-for-6 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple.

Meanwhile, Lincolnwood came up short against Mulberry Grove on Tuesday and fell 7-3.

Lincolnwood dropped their record down to 7-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
