Baseball Recap: Ellington Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bolton on Tuesday, Ellington came back down to earth. The Knights fell just short of the Canton Warriors by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 4-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Ellington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Beaudry, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Jack Weigand was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Ellington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Ellington will face off against Academy of Science and Innovation at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Canton, they will take on Northwestern Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
