Volleyball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Austin can now relate to. They came up short against the South Ripley Raiders on Saturday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost seven in a row.

Maggie Mosley paced Austin's offense, picking up nine kills. Mosley got some help from Jayleigh Schepman and her 12 assists. Schepman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 11-19. As for South Ripley, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-12.

Austin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Ripley, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Southwestern on the 18th.
