Basketball Recap: Waynedale Comes Up Short

Waynedale lost against Norwayne back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Waynedale Golden Bears were outmatched by the Norwayne Bobcats and fell 76-38. The Golden Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-22.

It was another big night for Parker Metsker, who went 8 for 9 on his way to 18 points in addition to five assists and five boards for Norwayne. Metsker has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyson Hess, who went 6 of 10 en route to 13 points and four steals.

Waynedale's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Norwayne, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waynedale will head out to challenge Dalton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Waynedale is facing Dalton at the right time seeing as Dalton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Norwayne, they are taking a road trip to square off against Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Norwayne will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
