Basketball Recap: Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy Comes Up Short

Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 62-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Community Christian Academy Warriors. The Crusaders lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 94-60 score last time.

Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Community Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.

Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Christian Family Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Community Christian Academy, they and Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
