Football Game Recap: Palmyra vs. Brookfield

Brookfield had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They had victory within their grasp but couldn't quite capture it on Friday as the team lost 6-7 to Palmyra. If Brookfield were expecting payback for the 2-28 loss against Palmyra the last time the teams met, then they were shortchanged. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Brookfield off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Palmyra a 1-0 record.

Next week, Brookfield take on Monroe City at 7:00 PM. As for Palmyra, they will face of against Bowling Green.
