Football Recap: Comer Takes a Loss

Comer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-18 heartbreaker at the hands of the Muchin College Prep Mountain Lions.

Muchin College Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Arnie White led the charge by rushing for 146 yards and one score while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also picking up 33 receiving yards. White didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (2.0 for loss). Another signal caller making a difference was De'Andre Schaut, who threw for 242 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt.

Comer's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Muchin College Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Comer didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-6 defeat against Reed-Custer on the 25th. Muchin College Prep has also already played their next game (against Clemente), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
