Basketball Recap: Frostproof Comes Up Short

Frostproof played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 56-20 loss at the hands of the Hardee Wildcats. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Frostproof's loss came despite strong showings from Shalayjah Robey and Sanyqua Sloan. Robey posted nine points, while Sloan earned four points.

Hardee's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rihanna Frederick, who went 6 for 15 on her way to 15 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Frederick is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Tylia Graham, who scored 11 points and seven boards.

Frostproof's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Hardee, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Frostproof will face off against All Saints' Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Frostproof is facing All Saints' Academy at the right time seeing as All Saints' Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hardee, they will take on Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
