Blanchester extends road losing streak to five

Recap: Blanchester Wildcats vs. Clermont Northeastern Rockets

The Blanchester Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 55-42 to Clermont Northeastern. Blanchester has not had much luck with Clermont Northeastern recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Clermont Northeastern's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Connor Yeager, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. Yeager is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Woolery, who scored ten points along with five assists and four steals.

Blanchester's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-6. As for Clermont Northeastern, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blanchester will take on East Clinton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (East Clinton is ranked 660th, while Blanchester is ranked 664th). Clermont Northeastern won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Taft at 7:15 p.m. on January 3rd. Taft has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 429 points over their last six matchups.
