It was a good run, but Reno unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Spanish Springs Cougars by a score of 5-4. The Huskies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Reno's defeat dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Spanish Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Reno will face off against rival Bishop Manogue at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Miners a six-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. Meanwhile, Spanish Springs is set to take on their familiar foe Galena at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
