Volleyball Recap: Buena Gets the Win

Buena won the last time they faced Desert View and things went their way on Thursday too. The Colts walked away with a 3-1 win over the Jaguars.

Buena had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 25-20, 25-13, 25-18.

Jaxson Bell paced Buena's offense, picking up eight kills. Bell got some help from Kade Spilsbury and his 15 assists. Spilsbury was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

The victory got Buena back to even at 3-3. As for Desert View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Buena wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Flowing Wells on the 28th. As for Desert View, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Canyon del Oro on the 1st.
