Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Chester

Chester posted their closest victory since January 16, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Trico Pioneers out 37-34. Winning may never get old, but the Yellowjackets sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Chester's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lillian Diskey, who posted eight points and six boards. Rylie Conley was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.

Chester smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Chester's win bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Trico, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-10.

Coming up, Chester will head out on the road to square off against Sparta at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trico, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shawnee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shawnee will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Trico surely won't give up without a fight.
