St. Joseph and Kirk Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but St. Joseph had to settle for second. They fell to the Kirk Academy Raiders 34-30. The Fighting Irish were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Despite the loss, St. Joseph still got an impressive performance from Victor Baker, who threw for 293 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 33 yards. Another player making a difference was Jayden Moore, who picked up 68 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
St. Joseph's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Kirk Academy, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
