Baseball Recap: Red River Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Red River can now relate to. They came up short against the Doyle Tigers on Wednesday, falling 11-1. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Red River has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-17-1 record this season. As for Doyle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-16-1 record this season.

While Red River had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Thursday.
