Paulding has gone a perfect 3-0 against Jefferson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will square off against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Paulding came up short against Patrick Henry and fell 13-9. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brooklynn Bakle was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Civil Pumphrey, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Jefferson came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Kalida as they made off with a 22-6 victory. Jefferson's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Paulding, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went Paulding's way against Jefferson in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Paulding made off with a 14-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
