Volleyball Game Preview: Crofton Warriors vs. Wayne Blue Devils

The Crofton Warriors will face off against the Wayne Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crofton has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 20.

On Monday, Crofton didn't have quite enough to beat Plainview and fell 3-2.

Crofton wouldn't go down easily and took Plainview into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 22-25, 20-25, 16-14.

Crofton might have lost, but man, Karoline Schendt was a machine: she had 18 digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, Wayne came up short against Pierce on Tuesday and fell 2-0. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Bluejays recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14.

Crofton's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Wayne, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-10.

Crofton took their win against Wayne when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
