Denmark dropped their record down to 17-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Vikings couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Fox Valley Lutheran, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 21-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average this season.

For Fox Valley Lutheran's part, Madison Babcock spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. Babcock has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Fox Valley Lutheran's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nora Probst, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Foxes 2.3, the Irish 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
