Baseball Game Preview: Caverna Colonels vs. Trinity Raiders

Caverna is 0-5 against Trinity since May of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Colonels will square off against the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Caverna has given up an average of 18.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Caverna is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Monday. They came up short against Thomas Nelson, falling 20-10. On the bright side, the ten- run performance marked the Colonels' highest-scoring game to date.

Meanwhile, Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 14-3 to Butler County.

Caverna's loss dropped their record down to 0-9-1. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

Caverna suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Trinity in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Colonels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
