Soccer Recap: Novato Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 2-2 at halftime, Novato was not quite Marin Catholic's equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell just short of the Marin Catholic Wildcats by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by just one goal.

This is the second loss in a row for Novato and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Marin Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Novato will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Urban at 3:15 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Marin Catholic, they will be home for the holidays to greet Branson at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Marin Catholic's last six matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
