Volleyball Recap: Everglades Comes Up Short

If Everglades was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Franklin Academy last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gators came up short against the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders on Monday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gators of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16, 25-12.

Everglades has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Everglades has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Miramar on the 16th. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against South Plantation on the 15th.
