Volleyball Recap: Kennedy Commanders vs. George Washington Patriots
Kennedy came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the George Washington Patriots. The Commanders have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
The final score came out to 25-12, 25-14, 25-14.
Leading George Washington to victory were Danial Dehno and Phillip Abad. Dehno had eight digs and four aces, while Abad had nine assists and seven digs. That's the most digs Dehno has posted since back in February.
Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for George Washington, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-7.
Kennedy and George Washington will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time Kennedy sees the court they'll take on Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on April 7. As for George Washington, their break will end when they face Gateway at 5:30 p.m. on April 1.
