Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Lewis Cass' Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Lewis Cass proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 23) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-40 victory over the Northside L Lions.

Lewis Cass' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anna Hedrick led the charge by going 6 of 14 en route to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Mylie Sipe, who posted nine points.

Lewis Cass is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. As for Northside L, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-1.

Lewis Cass wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 39-31 win against University on the 28th. Northside L does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
