Hailey Tran produced another solid effort rushing for 164 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries. That's the most rushing yards she has posted since back in September.
Meanwhile, Covina won against Charter Oak on Monday with 39 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. The Colts took their contest with ease, bagging a 39-12 win over Rowland. The Colts might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 20 points or more this season.
A big part of Covina's victory came down to the chemistry between Raelene Cruz and her top target Isabell Ramirez. Cruz threw for 323 yards and five TDs while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt while Ramirez picked up 189 receiving yards. Ramirez really caught the secondary sleeping when she pulled down a catch that went for 81 yards.
Covina didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ramirez and Sophia Jara.
Covina's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Wilson, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.
