Baseball Game Preview: Southern Academy Cougars vs. Clarke Prep Gators

For the second straight game, Southern Academy will face off against Clarke Prep. The Cougars will take on the Gators at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southern Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Southern Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Clarke Prep as they made off with a 9-1 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

BoBraeden Agee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

At the plate, Wyatt Martin was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Drew Rogers was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Clarke Prep moved to 6-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Southern Academy, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.
