Preview: Mount Tahoma T-Birds vs. Silas Rams
The Mount Tahoma T-Birds will head out on the road to face off against the Silas Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Silas took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Mount Tahoma, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Mount Tahoma blew past Stadium, posting a 42-7 win at home. Given Mount Tahoma's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Stadium is ranked 112th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mount Tahoma relied on the efforts of Tre' Walker, who rushed for 161 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and Brison Bailey, who rushed for 193 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. Walker's longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Devon Addison, who rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Silas, who are still winless after their seventh game. They were outmatched by Lincoln on the road and fell 55-13.
Mount Tahoma is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Silas, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-7.
Everything came up roses for Mount Tahoma against Silas when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 49-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mount Tahoma since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
