Basketball Recap: Clayton Shultz's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mitchell over Pine Bluffs + How To Watch

Mitchell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Pine Bluffs Hornets, falling 56-36. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mitchell's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clayton Shultz, who posted six points and three steals. Klayten Thomas also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Pine Bluffs, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Mitchell will take on Hemingford in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pine Bluffs has already played their next matchup (against Lumberton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
