Softball Recap: Maumee Panthers vs. Rossford Bulldogs

Maumee stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. Everything went their way against the Rossford Bulldogs as the Maumee Panthers made off with an 11-1 victory. The win was familiar territory for Maumee who now have seven in a row.

Hannah Ruiz made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and not a single walk). Ruiz was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-3 with four RBI and a double.

In other batting news, Lilly Duling was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Reign Hurt, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Maumee is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Rossford, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

Oak Harbor will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Rossford surely won't give up without a fight.
