Basketball Recap: Bellevue Comes Up Short

Bellevue has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to the Lakeside Lions at home by a 56-38 margin on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-39 back in January.

Bellevue's loss dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Lakeside, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

Bellevue and Lakeside should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Bellevue (ranked 26th) will meet Mercer Island (ranked 114th) at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Lakeside will square off against Eastside Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday up 43 places (6 vs. 49).
