Baseball Game Preview: Montgomery County Indians vs. Bryan Station Defenders

The Montgomery County Indians will challenge the Bryan Station Defenders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Montgomery County lost 9-2 to Wolfe County on Monday. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Montgomery County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Roland, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Bryan Station never let their opponents score on Saturday. Everything went their way against George Rogers Clark as they made off with a 10-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Defenders considering their two-run performance the game before.

The team relied heavily on Jordan Carter, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Eli Hale, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Bryan Station moved to 10-16 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Montgomery County, their loss dropped their record down to 17-12.
