Midland Christian is a perfect 10-0 against Grapevine Faith Christian since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 2:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Midland Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-49 to Grace Prep. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 512th, while the Lions are ranked 158th).

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Lions on Friday. Grapevine Faith Christian was dealt a 92-59 defeat at the hands of Trinity Christian. Grapevine Faith Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-22.

Midland Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-17. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points over those games. As for Grapevine Faith Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 27-7.

Midland Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Grapevine Faith Christian in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 68-63 victory.
