Soccer Game Preview: Boyd-Buchanan vs. Grace Christian Academy

The Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers will venture away from home to challenge the Grace Christian Academy Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Boyd-Buchanan comes in on four and Grace Christian Academy on 11.

Boyd-Buchanan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over Silverdale Academy. Considering Boyd-Buchanan have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Grace Christian Academy kept a clean sheet against Grace Baptist Academy on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 9-0 win. Diego Dourado was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Grace Christian Academy pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those five games. As for Boyd-Buchanan, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3-1.

Boyd-Buchanan took their win against Grace Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 8-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buccaneers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
