Soccer Recap: Garden Grove Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Garden Grove and St. Margaret squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Garden Grove had to settle for second. They fell just short of the St. Margaret's Tartans by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, the Argonauts' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Garden Grove's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for St. Margaret's, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

Garden Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Margaret's, they will take on Lawndale at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Margaret's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
